This is your opportunity to join RDLC! We are actively recruiting Ironworkers at all experience levels for the Surrey–Langley SkyTrain Project.

 

As an Ironworker, you will play an essential role in installing structural and miscellaneous steel while working under the direction of a Foreman. Your skills, dedication, and commitment to maintaining high safety standards will help ensure the work is completed safely, efficiently, and successfully.

What you will be doing

  • Key Responsibilities

    • Assist with the installation of structural and miscellaneous steel under the supervision of the Foreman.
    • Position and secure reinforcing steel bars and metal mesh within concrete forms to strengthen concrete structures.
    • Unload, organize, and position steel components so that each piece can be safely hoisted and installed as required.
    • Read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, plans, and project specifications.
    • Use hand and power tools to cut, weld, fasten, and assemble steel components.
    • Follow all company and site-specific safety policies, procedures, and protocols.
    • Work collaboratively with team members, maintaining clear communication and a positive, professional attitude.
    • Conduct routine inspections of tools and equipment to ensure they are safe, functional, and properly maintained.
    • Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area.
    • Perform other duties as assigned by the Foreman or other supervisory personnel.

What we are looking for

  • Requirements

    Successful candidates must hold valid certifications in:

    • Fall Protection
    • Rigging
    • Confined Space Entry and Monitor
    • WHMIS

    Work Schedule

    • Shift schedules will vary based on project requirements.
    • Weekend work may be required.
    • Employees can expect to work approximately 50–60 hours per week.

    Union and Benefits

    This project is being completed under a Project Labour Agreement (PLA). All successful candidates will be required to register with Ironworkers Local 97 (IW97) as a condition of employment.

    Benefits will be provided through the union in accordance with the applicable collective agreement.

Salary Min

CAD $29.58/Hr.

Salary Max

CAD $53.78/Hr.
