What you will be doing

  • Experience managing self-perform excavation, roadway removals, roadworks, drainage, shoring works, coordination with Go, etc.
  • Responsible for supervising multiple crews and subcontractors
  • Develop construction work methods, plan materials, equipment needs and work schedules for civil operations
  • Review daily work schedule and productions with Field Engineers and General Superintendent and update monthly schedule
  • Review and understand the projects’ plans and specifications to support job set up activities
  • Encourage strong adherence to OSHA and project-specific safety policies and procedures
  • Document daily field activities and provide technical input to identify and resolve design problems
  • Establish crew structure for optimal performance on projects
  • Present production work plan to crews
  • Work with Quality Staff to coordinate proper inspections and testing for assigned scopes of work
  • Responsible for ordering and coordinating subcontractors, equipment and materials supplies to complete production on budget and schedule

What we are looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management or  equivalent role responsibilities work experience.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in a similar position is required
  • Basic computer and software skills to include the use of word processing, e-mail, spreadsheets and electronic presentation programs
  • Functional proficiency in project controls, human relations, industrial relations, and contract management as applicable to assigned area of responsibility
  • Demonstrated strong decision-making, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders
  • Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines
  • Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner

CAD $140,000.00/Yr.

Salary Max

CAD $160,000.00/Yr.
