What you will be doing

  • Review and analyze project cost control records to provide technical guidance and project controls support.

  • Manage cost control, change management, and budgeting processes.

  • Track incurred costs, analyze budgets and commitments, and report variances.

  • Monitor job cost reports against key performance indicators (KPIs).

  • Calculate Estimate at Completion (EAC) per client methodology.

  • Perform cost forecasting, cash flow analysis, and monitor contingency drawdown.

  • Track project changes and report on status.

  • Oversee cost control reporting, reconcile project cost data, and manage unsecured revenue, contingencies, and over/under billing.

  • Support project closeout by validating final revenue before billing submission.

What we are looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, finance/accounting or business required.  
  • 10+ years of experience in cost and change control, including a minimum of 5 years leading the function on a major heavy civil construction / transportation infrastructure project
  • Experience in complex cost and change control reporting, including EAC, EVM, cost variance analysis, change management, and forecasting. 
  • Able to identify cost reduction strategies in schedule, quantities or contract specifications that align with project budget and design specification requirements.  
  • Knowledge of accounting principles, including construction accounting, required.  
  • Knowledge of construction contract agreements and change order processes required.  
  • Proven leadership and influential skills. Able to effectively work and communicate with all levels of the company.

Salary Min

CAD $140,000.00/Yr.

Salary Max

CAD $170,000.00/Yr.
