Salary range: $80,000 - $100,000 (based on relevant experience, qualifications, and skills).

What you will be doing

  • Plan, direct, and coordinate on-site mechanical and electrical activities to comply with specifications, requirements, and codes
  • Coordinate all relevant drawings and information to eliminate interference problems
  • Provide directions during functional performance testing of all mechanical and electrical systems
  • Assist Project Managers and Superintendents in updating and achieving schedule requirements, mechanical and electrical RFI’s and shop drawings and administrate mechanical/electrical project completion requirements
  • Provide technical engineering information and interpretation of plans, detail sheets, and specifications for contractors
  • Report accurate quantities for labour cost reports and accurately monitor material ledgers to ensure quantities in estimate are sufficient to complete the project
  • Find solutions to conflicts in structural, architectural, mechanical, and electrical drawings and specifications and follow-up with consultants and sub-trades to completion
  • Ensure construction work complies with all engineering standards, codes, specifications, and design instruction
  • Review scope for early procurement items
  • Responsible of M&E subcontractor cost and tracking and deviations from initial contract
  • Commissioning of the equipment’s and hand over

What we are looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or other related discipline
  • Engineer in Training (EIT) required; Professional Engineering License (PE/PENG) preferred.
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience in heavy civil projects or bridges structures
  • Ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications
  • Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
  • Knowledge with MS Project is required
  • Knowledge of SketchUp is recommended
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD preferred
  • Ability to analyze data
  • Strong work ethic
