As a Procurement Coordinator you will play a key role in sourcing, purchasing, and managing the goods and services required for the Project. You will support our procurement team during the ERP upgrade process, conduct in-depth analysis, and assist in negotiating supplier contracts to secure the best possible price, quality, and delivery timelines.

Your ability to ensure compliance with legal and organizational procurement standards will be essential in maintaining integrity, efficiency, and value across all purchasing activities. What you will be doing

  • Research, identify, evaluate suppliers, service providers and subcontractors complying with SBP’s Procurement Policy,
  • Coordinate with all disciplines and compile all information to independently develop Bid Packages,
  • Upload bid packages on web-based procurement application and monitor bid responses, exposure on
  • Compile bid queries and seeking adequate responses from the discipline leads and uploading the response in time,
  • Track inventory levels, determine reorder points, and manage stock levels to avoid shortages,
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, internal stakeholders, and other departments,
  • Maintain records of purchases, pricing, and other important data,
  • Coordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders, and other logistics partners,
  • Prepare and maintain purchase and pricing information in spreadsheets,
  • Develop and update supplier lists with qualifications, delivery times, and potential future developments,
  • Asses and research potential vendors for materials and products,
  • Create pricing sheets, cost assessment reports, and budgeting materials,
  • Work with team members and Procurement Manager to complete duties as needed.

What we are looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in a construction-related field
  • 5-10 Years of experience in purchasing within the construction industry or other heavy industrial environment
  • Experience with infrastructure construction projects is an asset
  • Good understanding of the Procurement process and the required documentation for qualification (CCDC11), technical and financial proposals,
  • Ability to compare qualification and bid documents, inclusions/exclusions, and prepare a comparative statement (BAR) under the guidance of the Procurement Manager,
  • Have exposure on various contract types such as CCA-1, CCDC 2, CCDC 3, CCDC 5 and their usage,
  • Building Connected or similar applications is a must,
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment and be service-oriented
  • Ability to establish priorities among tasks having similar levels of urgency
  • Good communication and writing skills,
