What you will be doing

Procurement Management 

Responsible for ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement of all project materials and services in line with company procedures and confidentiality requirements.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage supplier selection, negotiation, and performance to ensure quality, cost, and delivery targets.
  • Oversee the end-to-end procurement process, from requisition to payment, ensuring compliance and efficiency.
  • Conduct cost analyses and identify savings opportunities.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to define scopes, evaluate bids, and obtain required approvals.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, supplier data, and pricing information.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate logistics to prevent shortages or delays.
  • Develop and maintain supplier databases and procurement documentation.

 

Contract Management

Oversee the full contract lifecycle, ensuring compliance, risk mitigation, and successful project delivery.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
  • Manage bid and tender processes and select appropriate contract forms.
  • Monitor contractual performance, budgets, and schedules to ensure compliance with terms.
  • Handle change orders, claims, and disputes in coordination with project and legal teams.
  • Ensure proper documentation, insurance coverage, and adherence to laws and regulations.
  • Lead contract close-out, including financial reconciliation, final documentation, and warranty follow-up.

What we are looking for

  • Hold a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Business Administration, Commerce, Economics, or a related discipline.
  • Have 10 to 15 years of experience in procurement management within the heavy civil engineering sector.
  • Hands-on experience with procurement processes, methods, practices, and contract administration, as well as knowledge of accounting and planning principles.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong interpersonal and coordination skills, with the ability to align team efforts to achieve objectives.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
