Overview

The Corporate Treasury Co-Op supports the Treasury team in managing the company’s liquidity, financial risk, banking relationships, and capital structure. This role is ideal for students pursuing degrees in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related fields who are looking to gain hands-on experience in corporate finance and treasury operations. We are looking to hire a Co-op student for the duration of 12 months who is enrolled in an official co-op program.

What you will be doing

 

  • Cash Management:
    • Assist in daily cash positioning and forecasting.
    • Support bank reconciliations and monitor cash balances across accounts.
  • Banking Operations:
    • Help maintain banking documentation and relationships.
    • Assist with wire transfers, bank account openings/closures, and KYC processes.
  • Financial Analysis & Reporting:
    • Prepare reports on cash flow, liquidity, Letters of Credit Program and debt.
    • Support treasury-related financial modeling and variance analysis.
    • Preparae journal entries for allocation & accruals of financial costs, and bank fees
  • Risk Management:
    • Assist in monitoring foreign exchange and interest rate exposures.
    • Help evaluate hedging strategies and support compliance with internal controls.
  • Compliance & Controls:
    • Support group’s internal control documentation and testing.
    • Ensure adherence to treasury policies and procedures.
  • Project Support:
    • Participate in treasury system upgrades or automation initiatives.
    • Contribute to special projects related to capital markets or financing.
  • Perform other duties as required including support to Treasury Analyst and Finance Director in any ad-hoc project

What we are looking for

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, Visio and Outlook)
  • Familiarity with financial systems (e.g., ECMS, JD Edward, SAP etc..) is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
