Build the Future of Transit with Us

Be a part of a landmark infrastructure project that will shape the future of the Lower Mainland. The Surrey Langley SkyTrain Project is a massive undertaking to extend rapid transit, and we're looking for a skilled Heavy-Duty Mechanic to join the team. As a Heavy-Duty Mechanic, you will be the backbone of our field operations, responsible for assembling, maintaining, and repairing all mechanical equipment. Your daily work will directly support the casting and erection of the massive concrete segments that form the SkyTrain guideway.

Your core duties will include:

  • Maintaining Mission-Critical Equipment: Perform expert repair and preventative maintenance on all mechanical equipment, from construction machinery to segmental erection trusses.
  • Assembly & Dismantling: Manage the assembly and disassembly of construction equipment under the jurisdiction of the Operating Engineers.
  • Ensuring Compliance & Safety: Inspect and maintain all tools and machinery to ensure they meet manufacturer guidelines, EHS standards, and legislative requirements.
  • Versatile Skillset: Your work may overlap with tasks traditionally performed by Welders, Mechanic Electricians, and Bodyperson Painters, offering variety in your role.
